Tilden’s Scuba Center has two daily reef trips, weather permitting.

Morning Trip
8:00 am Check in ~ 12:00 pm Return

Afternoon Trip:
1:00 pm Check in ~ 5:00 pm Return

Reservations and payment in full are required to guarantee your spot on the boat for the particular dive you choose. Please make sure to bring your certification card and a logbook if you have one. If it has been more than two years since your last scuba dive, we may require that you complete a refresher course prior to going out on a trip.

Each half-day adventure is two dives on the reef and each dive is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Our boat ride is anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes out to the reef depending upon which location. The Captain determines the location on the reef that day based on conditions unless we are scheduled to do the Thunderbolt wreck dive that is 120 feet to the sand.

Scuba diving Magazine's 2006 Readers Choice Awards rated Marathon #1 for Top Marine life in North America and was rated #2 for Top Snorkeling in North America (#1 in the Keys).

The third largest living coral reef in the world runs parallel to the entire Florida Keys island chain and supports over 1200 species of marine life. It is a barrier reef therefore 90% of it is 30 feet or less. The tops of the coral heads are anywhere from 8 to 14 feet from the surface. This means you will have longer bottom times to enjoy the fish and coral as well as having all the color. This also means the reef is perfect for families and friends to scuba dive, snuba dive and snorkel from the same boat.

Shallow Reef Dives~
The majority of beautiful reef line is less than 30 feet deep...a living shallow barrier coral reef. We've listed some of our favorite spots on the table below.

Mid Deep & Deep Water Dives~
For the more experienced diver, we have other locations with deeper water and better suited for specialty dives. After all, we know every dive spot in the Florida Keys! Please specify when you confirm that you wish to have a deeper dive.

Specialty Dives ~
We can customize your trip with night dive or famous sunken shipwreck dive. Call one of our dive centers for more information.

3 Dive Boats!
The D/V Seafari, is 40 foot fully equipped custom dive boat...and very "diver-friendly". It has all the comforts you would expect from a well-maintained vessel. Some of the features include an easy boarding ladder, fresh water shower, head (bathroom), and lots of shade and/or sunning areas, complimentary refreshments, and fresh drinking water and of course all the required safety equipment is on board to guarantee your personal safety.

The D/V Leisure Lee and the D/V Island Diver are 30 foot luxury dive boats, with all the features one would expect on a great aquatic adventure. Both are able to accommodate up to 12 divers or 19 passengers each...very comfortably. And, remember for your next special occasion, these vessels are available for private charters!
